Let's see how this goes first.  Like I said its a unique way to expand with no current teams losing players.

With a stacked team like that, this opportunity won't come around again.

I will probably be throwing Barkov and Bishop into the expansion draft pool as well to help the balance.

If he is interested in expansion he could have the first pick in that draft (it would be first come first serve)

Sure.  I understand.

if we could find a way to provide him with the FA pool of players that are available, he would take a look and decide then.  But no guarantees.

Maybe if we ask the remaining GMs to trim their rosters now to give all interested parties an idea as to who would be available.

That is if we are certain we can get 3 interested people in joining the league.

Sounds like a plan.

I don't think it will be hard to find 3 need GM's.  People always want a league that has been around awhile.

We also vote on everything to keep things as fair as possible.

Not to mention all 3 teams will start with 4-5 start players!

Would we be expanding the amount of teams that make the playoffs then?

We could vote on that, or just make it a condition on expansion.

I personally am fine with whatever everybody wants :)

If we did 8 teams making the playoffs there would be no consolation.  So technically the consolation winner would be the 9th place team.

Or we would just keep it at 6 and the remaining 6 would battle it out in consolation for 1st overall prospect pick.

I am fine with expansion too. All in for that. I'll be transferring soon. Sorry. It's been so busy.

I like the 6 team playoffs and consolation for a few reasons.

-Keeps all of the teams playing beyond the fantasy regular season.
-1st and 2nd place teams gets a bye and guaranteed to be in the money round.
-Deters teams from tanking to get the first pick.

I'm sure there are arguments to support tanking for teams who are rebuilding in a larger league.

After reading it over I agree, especially with the fact that the 6 non-playoffs still playing in the consolation.

We could even use some of the additional prize money in the consolation round.
