Losing Player To KHL

Post by Chris » Sun Jun 02, 2019 11:50 pm

The following only applies if the player has played for you and you have lost him to the KHL. If you have drafted a player (waiver draft) knowing he is in the KHL you get ZERO but can keep him on your farm team using 1 spot.

*You cant pickup a player midseason who is still in the KHL. If a player has come back to the NHL he will go through the normal waiver process if its midseason and if its offseason that player will go into the waiver draft.

Option 1

If a player is coming off of a season in which he tallied:

76+ pts (forwards)
56+ pts (defense)
35+ wins (Goalies)

You receive a compensation waiver draft pick after the first round

If a player is coming off of a season in which he tallied:

61-75 pts (forwards)
41-55 pts (defense)
26-34 wins (goalies)

You receive a compensation waiver draft pick after the second round.

If a player is coming off of a season in which he tallied:

41-60 pts (forwards)
21-40 pts (defense)
17-25 wins (goalies)

You receive a compensation waiver draft pick after the third round.

Any players who produced less than the above thresholds will give no compensation, as the player wasn’t contributing anyway.

Option 2

You can keep the player on your FARM squad (using up 1 spot) if you wish to gamble that he is coming back....but by doing this you are giving up any compensation listed above.

** In the event that a couple of teams lose a player of the same caliber, the order of the compensation draft picks would be the highest points lost.
